When you live in little old Blandford it is easy to forget there is a big world out there. However, more than ever we live in a global village. Our food, clothes and possessions come from all around the world and that brings with it some social responsibilities.

We live in an increasingly small world where everybody is your neighbour

Jesus taught us to love our neighbours. In today’s world that includes pretty much everybody!

At BEC we believe in playing our part in this global community. Whether it is supporting children in rural India or getting involved in the humanitarian work of charities like Tear Fund.

We also think it is wrong that some are not allowed to hear the good news about Jesus. It is up to them whether they believe it, but they should at least have the chance to hear about Him. That is why we also support Bible translation work in Uganda.
