What do you think of when you think of church? A building? Sunday services? The chances are you don’t think about small groups of 10 to 15 people meeting in a home.
In fact small groups are the heart of a church. This is how early christians met and they are still a great way for building friendships, learning from the Bible, praying together and supporting each other.
If you aren’t attending a small group we would encourage you to give them a try. Below are the details of all the groups we run. Go along to a few and see which suits you the best. Every group is different so its important to find the one that you feel most comfortable in.
Larksmead (Thursdays, Blandford)
We meet for Bible study (based on either Sunday morning sermons or on a study of a specific book of the Bible), fellowship, encouragement, support and prayer. We usually look at God’s word for an hour, discuss freely and then pray together. What is said there stays there. We try to meet socially a few times a year, usually involving food.

We aim to study the Bible—we want to get to the meat of God’s word. We pray together, supporting and encouraging one another and praying for the church. We enjoy fellowship over coffee and biscuits and in our social times together.
